PEREZ SPRINTS TO SILVER MEDAL IN ZACCONE INVITATIONAL Casey Perez sprinted to a silver medal performance in the Tom Zaccone Winter Track Invitational contested et the Rothman Center on the campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Hackensack on Wednesday, January 6th. Perez raced across the line in 7.5 seconds to finish second while teammate Kelsey Broomfield placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a clocking of 28.0 seconds. Jen Molke turned in a sixth place finish in the 1000-meter run when she was clocked in 3:20.9. In the FDU Holiday Track Classic held on Saturday, December 19th, Perez picked up the bronze medal in the large schools division of the 55-meter dash, posting a clocking of 7.5 seconds. Her teammate Kaleigh Kenny was runnerup in the 1600-meter run, turning in a time of 5:32.9 for the metric mile. On Friday, January 8th, Holy Angels defeated Wayne Valley 17-10 in a girls fencing match as the Angels posted a 7-2 mark in the sabre competition. Erika Persson (3-0), Stephanie Chan (2-1) and Jessica Mastrofillipo (2-1) added the sabre points to the team score while Jacqueline Heath (2-0), Alyssa St. Angelo (2-0), Jenna Lee (1-0) and Natalie Lin (1-1) gave the Angels a 6-3 edge in the foil events.
