FREDERICKS NETS 7 ON LAX FIELD Christie Fredericks powered the Angels attack, netting seven goals and distributing a pair of assists in a 16-11 triumph over Indian Hills. Heather Burke, Christina Connell, Melanie Everett contributed goals with Connell dishing off a pair of assists. Marie Minasi captured the gold medal in the triple jump at the NNJIL Division C track & field championships. Minasi hopped, stepped and jumped 37-0. Kaleigh Kenny raced to a silver medal finish in the 1600-meter, posting a clocking of 5:15.50 for the metric mile. Jen Molke was runnerup in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:46.20 while Suzana Markolovic was second in the 400-meter low hurdles with a clocking of 1:10.67. Elizabeth Norton finished second in the pole vault. Holy Angels defeated Passaic Tech 220-256 at the Alpine Country Club. Catie Tobin carded the low nine-hole round of 52 over the par-37 course. Danielle Cuglietto hurled a two-hitter as the Angels blanked Paterson Eastside 10-0 in a NNJIL softball game that was curtailed after five innings by the 10-run mercy rule. She aided her own cause at the plate, knocking in three runs while Dominique Kilmartin and Danielle Roberto drove in two runs apiece. Erin DuBee, Stephanie Faivre and Meagan Maguire picked up RBIs.
